Zeynep’s story
I’m Zeynep Suyani. I’m 37 years old and I live in Adana, Türkiye. I started my silver hair journey about two years ago.
Initially, I tried to hide the gray hairs I saw in the mirror. Each gray hair made me feel a little older. I covered them with dye, then dyed them again… Because society taught us that gray hair is something to be hidden.
Then one day I asked myself:

“Why am I hiding something that belongs to me?”
That question led me to decide to stop dyeing my hair.
It wasn’t an easy journey. The first six months were especially difficult for me. Seeing the transition at my roots, being patient, and giving up my usual look was challenging at times.
But as my silver hairs showed a little more each day, something inside me began to change. Seeing those silver roots, I knew the final result would be amazing.
Now, there aren’t just gray hairs in my hair…
There are the years I’ve lived, the lessons I’ve learned, the struggles I’ve faced, and the woman I am now.
I no longer hide my gray hairs. I’m not ashamed of them.
Because they are not the traces of aging, but of living. 🤍
This is my silver hair journey. A journey where I learned to accept myself as I am, to be patient, and not to be afraid of change…
And today, for the first time, I believe I can be beautiful without changing myself. ✨
I’ve made peace with my silver hairs. Because now I choose myself, not my hair. 🤍
